Ewing Oil Company, Virginia Oil
Company, and Holtzman Oil Company (the founders of Liberty
Petroleum LLC) have combined to offer a simple and sensible
vision: to provide growth-oriented distributors a means
of competing with the immense scale of chain retailers
and hypermarketers. These three founding members initially
branded a cross section of their own locations in Maryland
and Virginia as Liberty stations. The success of this venture
led all three to conclude that the potential for cooperation
had yet to be fully tapped.
In the seven years since, the Liberty
founders have selected and developed a number of partnerships
with distributors throughout the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast,
helping to establish Liberty as a brand with resounding
customer appeal. The most important result of the expansion
has been the increased leverage wielded by the company
for the benefit of all operating under the Liberty flag.
Whether negotiating fuel supply, credit processing, or
other agreements, Liberty offers modestly sized businesses
the advantages that come with increased size, without the
drawbacks of limited flexibility and corporate bureaucracy.
Since its inception in 2000, Liberty Petroleum LLC has
steadily expanded its brand recognition and representation
to incorporate territory as far north as New Jersey, as
far south as the Florida Keys, and as far west as Washington
State. In the increasingly competitive petroleum marketing
business, Liberty’s unique marketing identity and
the buying power of the aggregated Liberty stations are
more important than ever.
